Pros

Good compensation overall (salary + vales + savings fund + vacations), a nice new office to work from, and a flexible WFH policy. Catered breakfast and lunch. Drinks and beer. Some nice people over there.

Cons

Compensation is not fair sometimes. Salary adjustments are very rare and usually, they prefer to give money just for retention, instead of doing it as a reward of good performance. Gossip, mainly related to people quitting the company/fired employees. Also some public harassment cases from people that now is moving from manager to upper positions. Boring projects, and for the challenging/fun ones, there is a lack of expertise from Wizeline (engineering, sales and project management). People do not know how to propose solutions, design them, or execute them. Some engineers that are not good at all are performing roles in senior positions. Lack of real seniority in the team. You need to play smart, and do very visible things for your manager. It is better if you brag about the little things you do to get some visibility. There is no long term planning in terms of employee careers. Promotions are usually not based on facts, but to time in the company or just because people think they can do it even if they are not qualified for that. Product teams are a joke. They haven't built something useful since the company was founded.

Pros

For the most part, I had a good experience at Wizeline. The experience depends heavily on the client you are assigned to, but I was fortunate to work with great people and had a lot of fun, especially during my first few years at the company.

Cons

I believe that offering benefits beyond what is legally required reflects a company’s culture and the value it places on its employees. When my contract was terminated (after seven years ), no severance was offered, as this is not legally required in the U.S. This led me to reflect on how other non-mandated benefits are handled; for example, paid maternity leave is also not legally required, which raised questions for me about whether it would be supported if needed.
