Pros

I'm the founder and CEO of Wizeline.  10 years ago, we founded Wizeline to help companies to get better products to market faster. We initially felt that the best way to do it was to build a SaaS platform that would algorithmically identify the features that had the greatest chance of succeeding in the market. After a couple of years we expanded the business to also offer consulting and digital services because it seemed like what our customers really needed was great engineers and designers who could help them build the technology they needed.  Because we had built a reputation of hiring great people and allowing them to be creative and build cool technology, our services business grew very quickly. We grew over 10X from about 100 Wizeliners between Mexico and the US to thousands globally in over a dozen different countries. But this growth did come at a cost - so over the last 18 months, we've been making the necessary changes to get back to growth. We want Wizeline to become the preferred partner to help companies develop AI-driven technologies and to navigate all of the new tooling that is coming out. We believe that Wizeline can be the best technology partner because we hire the best and we enable them with the best AI tools to help our customers get better products to market faster. We're excited for 2024 and we want people to join us as we write the next chapter. The last 18 months have been slightly turbulent in the tech industry, and we were not immune to it, but we've made the changes and invested in the right areas to make Wizeline the ideal place to learn new things, grow your career and be part of an incredibly successful company and community.

Cons

Although the major changes have happened, there is still work to do and some scar tissue that we have to work through as we show Wizeliners that we mean and do what we say.

Pros

For the most part, I had a good experience at Wizeline. The experience depends heavily on the client you are assigned to, but I was fortunate to work with great people and had a lot of fun, especially during my first few years at the company.

Cons

I believe that offering benefits beyond what is legally required reflects a company’s culture and the value it places on its employees. When my contract was terminated (after seven years ), no severance was offered, as this is not legally required in the U.S. This led me to reflect on how other non-mandated benefits are handled; for example, paid maternity leave is also not legally required, which raised questions for me about whether it would be supported if needed.
