Pros

Supportive and flexible work environment. I've been here 5 years, after closing a company I had for 10 years, when hired I had the idea of being here only 1 year before starting another gig with some friends. Stayed here already 5 and looking forward to my 6th. I've had multiple promotions, learned new technologies, entered as a Drupal/PHP dev, learned React, Typescript and Go as tech lead for super interesting clients. Moved to horizontal functions because I liked the company culture. Always felt that if you wanted to change or proposed something you could to it.

Cons

Last year were very rough for the company financially. I think bad decisions where made and we grow too much too fast during the pandemic, which hurt us when the markets where rough, specially last year. But I still see good company culture with good plans for the next years.

Pros

For the most part, I had a good experience at Wizeline. The experience depends heavily on the client you are assigned to, but I was fortunate to work with great people and had a lot of fun, especially during my first few years at the company.

Cons

I believe that offering benefits beyond what is legally required reflects a company’s culture and the value it places on its employees. When my contract was terminated (after seven years ), no severance was offered, as this is not legally required in the U.S. This led me to reflect on how other non-mandated benefits are handled; for example, paid maternity leave is also not legally required, which raised questions for me about whether it would be supported if needed.
