Pros

Work life balance is GREAT, respect among peers and from management, advancement opportunities when positions are available. Ability to develop my own work flow with minimal management interference so long as deadlines and performance targets are met. Clear definition of YOY expectations and goals. Tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Salary is lower than other companies in the same sector, no matter what "studies" say, particularly if you are promoted to a position instead of hired fresh into it. Older workforce, so advancement opportunities are rare and VERY competitive. Exceptional performance is not rewarded like it used to be, more perks are removed yearly. IRIF (Involuntary Reduction in Force) and VRIF (Voluntary Reduction in Force) in Customer Service Engineer (technician) population almost yearly.

Big company with solid benefits

Cons

Pay is not on par with competition and raises are very hard to get. If you don't get what you are looking for when hired you will likely never get it.
