Pros

I wanted to write a review because when I was looking to apply for this job most of the reviews were very short. I have been working as an MT for 2 months now and the company is wonderful. As a full-time employee the medical and retirement benefits are amazing. The training this company provides doesn't compare to others and it is well known for that in the business world. If you are not a people person, this job is not for you. You will be dealing with a wide variety of customers daily and have to always have a smile and accommodate them to your best ability. This job allows you to be in and out of the office constantly. We pick up/drop off customers, outside a lot walking customers to the vehicles, and you will also do more than your fair share of cleaning cars. We have typical office duties as well such as answering phones, doing courtesy calls, and much more. This company also does many events and happy hours for their employees. In the two months of my employment I have gone to 2 area events one was go karting, and 2 happy hours (free drinks). It is important that you attend these events even if they occur on your day off because you get to mingle with others and a lot of higher up people. You have to build your brand with this company so that when a promotion comes up, the person hiring already knows who you are and has a relationship with you. The opportunity for growth with this company is endless, it is what you make it.

Cons

This job is exhausting, I am pretty much burnt out already. The thing that keeps me going is the job security and opportunity to make six figures rather quickly with only a bachelor's degree. The days/hours of operation depend on the branch you are placed at. The branch I work at is open 7 days a week, so we get two days off, but they are rarely consecutive days. The typical day is 11 hours and the cut off for overtime is at 60hrs a week. I haven't had a week under 58hrs yet. There is a lot to learn and you will feel very lost for the first week or two. Do not take the things customers say to you personally. Your main objective is to sell the protection products and make sure the customers are completely satisfied with the service they received. You will have bad sales days and most customers do not realize you actually have a college education so you will be treated badly at times. The best advice I can give is to have a short memory and thick skin.

Pros

I taught myself to have thicker skin, met some wonderful co-workers, learned how to sell protection products without pressuring customers and got a paycheck every other week.

Cons

There is no work life balance as mentioned by many. The fact that you need to have a Bachelors Degree to clean & rent cars for 11 to 12 hours a day is quite absurd! I know so many people with as well as without sales experience along with no College degree that would excel in this position. However, why would they want to when they will be overworked, underpaid as well as overlooked for their hard work?! Nobody said it was going to be easy but the expectations here to clean & rent cars in a suit during extreme weather conditions is not a healthy work environment. People get burnt out so quickly before you know it because they are trying to not only build customer relationships but also sell our products as well as upgrade cars to qualify for only a $1.00 raise. We sell but do not receive any comission as Management Trainees. Why???? It's sad how corporate greedy companies like this overlook the value of compensating their employees for their dedication & hard work!

Pros

Company left such a bad taste in my mouth didn't want to do a review but decided enough people don't leave them and tell you how miserable your day is working daily... hopefully you don't mind being micromanaged and able to balance the stress of always having to work in the grey zone of ethical and unethical never black and white and even have some managers manage you to be unethical to be sucessful to meet sales goals . Everything is shady just don't believe it's all butterfly and rainbows . You will only enjoy the pay and benefits for a entry level no experience position the pay is great. You may also enjoy working with same level employees the recruiters do a good job hiring alike people. But high turnover rate.

Cons

Be prepared to be burned out your first month from the long hour days and work week . The job will teach you how to deal with entitled and rude customers. Also help you with face to face sales approach but once again I'll say I would only recommend this management trainee program to someone who is thriving to pursue being a car salesman or someone who don't mind being a slave for 11 hours a day and being treated like the "Do-boy" (yes man) to collect a really nice check. It's hard work to get noticed in the company doing things the right way when you are trying to sale protection on the cars and meet sales goals but I became a Management Assistant in 8 months and work out of 7 different stores and one airport and I worked for the company a little over a year. Also be prepared to be moved around to different store locations throughout your career often. Yes there is career opportunities because they "only promote from within" but even then it's all about who you know every promotion comes with interviews.
