Pros

who do you think you're trying to full writing your own reviews and getting branch managers to like it looool

Cons

Where shall I start?? please be careful about these 'highly rated reviews.' for honest reviews go back several months. you will see what I mean. every single manager is rude!!! they feel like they are more powerful than trump. -forced to sell products customers don't need - smile at customers but when they leave the branch they make fun of them -racist, yes I worked in 4 different branches in 9 months I was there and if a tourist came in they would become prostitutes to rent a car for money. yet after the tourist leaves they will make fun of their culture and accent. -clean cars at least 3 hours a day - hoover the branch on a rota basis- company cannot afford cleaners -attend staff meetings even if you are on annual leave - start at 7:30am and finish at 8pm but you get paid for 8-6!! -work with extremely childish people who become extremely jealous if you hit your target - no lunch breaks, you will eat while you are delivering a car to a customer -rent cars to customer who cant drive, for an hour you will have to show them the controls. - if the customer returns a car and you do not spot any damages that was made during the rental you will be humiliated, absolutely humiliated in team meetings. -20k a year for 65 hours a week works out to be £3.89p an hour -progression will depend on how many free hours you work to show 'commitment' -you are better off claiming benefits than working in this cow dung of a place that's why I was so confused when the reviews started talking about inspiring business and how you will become a leader. I could only remember serving customers behind a till and washing cars from 7:30 to 8. lool aint nothing inspiring about that. earning £3.89p an hour?/ just because you pay a salary you cant hide how much you pay per hour.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm curious if you'd be willing to go into more detail regarding the unethical business practices you mention in your review. I know you've left the company, but without details, we can't follow up and address the situation at a local level. If you want to connect to discuss your previous experience in further detail, please reach out to us (anonymously if you like) at employeecommunications@erac.com.

Pros

- The people you work with are great - Days go by fast - Intern training and parties

Cons

- Don't be fooled by the "business 101 on 10 cups of coffee" tagline on their job posting, a Management Trainee and MT Intern are essentially retail associates. Thats it. I remember going into interview being prepared to talk about my previous business experiences at my past internships, and all the area manager wanted to know about was my time working at market basket. This "Internship" reminds me a lot of my time working as waiter, but as a waiter at least I was getting paid more, and at least they weren't trying to make the job seem more professional then it actually is. The fact you need a college degree to get into the MT program is joke, they'll literally take a lesbian dance theory major on board as long as you have a degree. Trust me when I say this, YOU are better than this company, keep searching.

Pros

-- Pretty good salaries, although the sheer magnitude of H1B visa workers keep salaries way down for everyone in IT. -- The company does a very good job of monitoring and addressing sexual harassment in the workplace; women don't have to endure that kind of crap at EHI. -- I worked with some of the smartest and greatest people of my entire career at EHI (although maybe only one or two of them were in management).

Cons

-- EHI frequently hires H1B visa workers (mostly Indians) even when highly qualified U.S. citizens are available. -- The Lakeside facility features what is probably one of the worst working environments ever designed. It is truly abysmal. -- A college degree is required, but I have been told the CIO doesn't have one. -- Extremely long hours resulting in massive amounts of overtime, frequently taking place late at night and/or on weekends, are a common requirement in IT. You get very little comp time in return, as well as very little appreciation from management. With luck you might get an email that says, "Good job!". Wow. So I worked 300 hours of overtime over the course of the last three months and all I got in return was an email and maybe a couple of days off? Yeah, that really drives loyalty, doesn't it? -- IT workers at the corporate facility in Clayton still have to wear business formal, which is beyond ridiculous in this day and age. Fortunately, those at other facilities can dress down. -- Reorgs take place so often that it is not uncommon to average two or more bosses per year. And of course every reorg is advertised as the best reorg ever. If that was true then another reorg in a few months would not be necessary, would it? -- There are absolutely no retiree benefits. Not even a nickle off per day on a rental. -- As is unfortunately the case in so many organizations, there are many managers that seriously need to be fired, but manage to stay on because they are friends with their bosses.
