Pros

I worked in the fleet division which is different from the rent-a-car department. Everyone in management vested time and effort into the training and really cared about your success. Since leaving, I have interviewed with other companies and my experience with Enterprise is always impressive. I would highly recommend this job to anyone looking for a great sales job.

Cons

Work/life balance – they definitely promote a “workaholic” mentality

Pros

Good benefits package. A stable company that is growing. Multi-country opportunity for growth. Group of friendly energetic employees who provided a competitive environment. Family owned company.

Cons

uncompetitive salaries, with little opportunity to advance within the administrative side of the house. Senior management salaries and bonuses severely inflated compared to lower level employees

Pros

Great Training program. The initial training is solid plus you get regular training and learn a lot of different business practices. The workforce is young..85% are between 22-35, so there is a lot of socializing inside and outside the office. Great discounts on rentals from Enterprise, Alamo and National since Enterprise owns them all Solid Benefits They almost NEVER fire non-managers unless you are a complete idiot or you get 3 moving violations..they can't let you drive rentals if you can't drive your own car.

Cons

The hours are LONG..Period. Anyone who says different either doesn't know better or is lying. 50 is a VERY low estimate and it's closer to 55 usually and more at busier, understaffed branches. Working 7-6-630 every Monday-Friday and 2-3 Saturdays a month is standard, Stressful. You are dealing with people from all walks of life as in any other retail based job. Most of the people are pissed before they walk in the door as their car has been damaged and a lot of them have crappy insurance who never set billing up before the customer is right in front of you, so you get thrown under the bus by the insurance companies who are safely on the other end of a phone... then you get the people with no credit cards. These are the really fun customers who throw fits in the office because they didn't come prepared, imply your racist, and in not so polite a fashion, complain about everything from needing a credit card to the color of their rental ect. Cleaning cars in extreme temperatures gets old very fast. As a new hire, you are going to be cleaning cars in professional dress and some of the nastiness you see in these cars is indescribable on a website like this, but use your imagination and then think grosser and you'll get an idea. LOT OF POLITICS in moving up. If you are liked by the higher ups, hang out at work functions and perform decently, you will be fine. If you don't play ball, then you better be a sick sales person.
