Pros

The people are great, once your a manager the company car is a pretty nice perk. We do have a lot of functions that are pretty fun and promotions do come quick as long as your willing to move. Enterprise has taught me a lot of skills that I feel would help me in different jobs. I do feel like if I ever have any car trouble that being an Enterprise employee has gotten me a "hook up". Truly though the best thing I can think of that the job has given me is the people I've met. That being worked for, my coworkers, and as I progressed with the company my MT's and MA's.

Cons

Long hours, bad pay for what we put up with. Which is mostly due to the high turnover so that we are always short staffed and over worked. If I got paid about 20% more it would be great and worth the longer hours, but seriously 60 hour work weeks are getting old. Also it seems like this new area I'm in is more of a popularity contest as far as promotions are concerned. It seems that poor performance plus a lot of brown nosing equals being moved to larger branchs. Also, I feel that some of my upper management would rather teach and train by the book, but not practice what they are preaching.

Pros

Enterprise is a great company to start out with fresh out of college. It provides a wonderful combination of entry level skills spanning the skill-set of everything any future employer could be looking for. You will learn how to build relationships with clients, manage your financial performance including managing costs to collecting on accounts, and you will work one on one with customers, developing that ever important customer service skill. Providing this groundwork is essential as a fresh college graduate and being able to take all of this and apply it to your career, whether it be within Enterprise or elsewhere, is one very valuable reason to work for Enterprise Rent a Car.

Cons

The long hours are the most immediate, downside to working with Enterprise. Each day averages 11 hours, some longer. You do get paid overtime (for the first couple of positions anyway) so one could look at it as just a way to make more money. Further down the road, the lack of position openings could prove frustrating to many, as once you hit the Branch Manager spot, the next level of promotion is only open far and few between.

Pros

Good Pay potential. Stick with it a couple years and you will see. If you truely can sell, than you truely will make a lot of money with Enterprise. If you can't you won't, period.

Cons

Long Loooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggg hours. You will pray for a 40 hour week. Benefits really suck too. I pay WAY to much for crappy health insurance, I am pretty sure if I had any time off I could buy private health insurance cheaper. Did I mention the long hours??? I think I averaged like 55 - 65 hours a week my first couple years. Oh, you will work a lot too.
