Pros

High levels of empowerment and autonomy, you can make a difference and leave a legacy, I get the feeling Epicor is on the cusp of real change and huge growth, Epicor 10 looks to be an excellent new product

Cons

Comp could be improved, focus on getting back the 'start up' feel of everyone is in it together

Pros

Good environment to learn the ins and outs of sales. Be prepared to work hard with little direction, deal with angry install accounts while selling not the most technologically advanced software with a high professional services margin..but trust me, if you survive here you can make it anywhere and get paid handsomely when you leave. PTO policy and insurance benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Poor management and frequent personnel changes really affected morale. Lots of people are Epicor lifers and need to be removed from their posts - they've outlived their usefulness. Product isn't the most technologically robust platform out there, but it's decent. What's sad is that Epicor doesn't invest enough earnings back into their product so it remains uber competitive. Constant need for travel due to territory assignments; you will always cover multiple states if you are rep, so be prepared to hop on a plane every other week. No competitive intel available if you are a rep, so it can be very difficult to get sales support during an opportunity. Compensation is below market rate. It's fine if you're a new rep with no sales experience, but after you've exceeded your # several years in a row and you're still getting small incremental base salary increases every year, it really doesn't cut the mustard. Commission rates are lower than average. Lots of interdepartmental dependencies when trying to get a deal done. Professional services are not outsourced so it's very expensive to implement the software. Too many departments are busy meeting their numbers or billable time that it's very easy to lose sight of the customers.
