Pros

Global presence, decent comp and offices depending on where you are based.

Cons

EG is not a company but a lifestyle. Don’t expect a work life balance. The culture can only be described as toxic. Competency levels across the board are lower than seen on other companies - ie directors are more like managers with no decision making authority. There’s a lot of revolving door hiring and firing to meet immediate ‘perceived’ needs with no consideration of you as an individual, your career or even the longer strategy of the company. Not an inclusive environment- your judged very quickly and bullying is rampant. Restructures occur every 2-3 months. Leadership is typically highly tenured inexperienced, insecure and lacking any charisma. They believe you are there to serve them at all costs. Those below them are under constant strain of being fired. As a result self advocacy rears its ugly head in every meeting. It’s embarrassing to witness grown adults whittle down to insecure children. But that’s what this company will do to you. They will make you question your own sanity given how much incompetence and toxicity exists.

Pros

There are pockets of great people, who your leader is matters a lot

Cons

Leadership is very top down now. Mid and low level leaders are not empowered anymore. Expect to spend a lot of time filling out power points and showing how what you do aligns with what SVPs want. They no longer want managers and directors who can solve big problems. They want you to say yes and do what you're told.

Pros

I constantly learn, I am encouraged to be curios, to face challenges, to take initiative. I manage to find a balance between my work and private life, which was crucial since I am mother of a toddler. Company provides flexibility, 40% of the time you can work from home and my managers were also supportive. I am allowed to dive into the topics I was interested in, and to work with multiple teams. I had a great mentor. I work with decent, respectful people and great professionals.

Cons

It was not always easy to reach the target, Job tasks and cross team collaboration are complex. In my location, there were not so many opportunities to grow and be promoted, but when there was a chance to grow my management wholeheartedly supported me.
