      Pros

      • Hire based on aptitude • Great route into IT sector with well-known clients • Very little prior experience needed • Whilst not a qualification as such, FDM's reputation proceeds you, commanding a great deal of respect in the workplace • Support from trainers is excellent and very easy to access • Staff are approachable at all times and create a comfortable atmosphere for trainees' development

      Cons

      • Intensive course; fantastic for learning quickly but difficult to catch up if you begin to fall behind in any given module • Certain modules of the course can feel unbalanced (it's routinely commented that the Unix programme in particular is a little over-loaded for a single week's study) whilst others (Pro Skills) perhaps don't require the full week devoted to them • Unpaid training period is a barrier to entry for those without savings/similar

      Pros

      They placed me in Paris after my first interview. They do listen to me and help me out however their departments feel slightly incompetent at times... We have a great HR assignee however who does care about us which is comforting :)

      Cons

      Salary/benefits are low and no way of negotiating your placement/salary/etc
