Pros

Due to very positive brand image, any significant amount of time spent at FXF will look fantastic on your resume.

Cons

Definition of corporate. A smile from your manager hides their true intent to metric every employee into whatever the current "hot button" might be, as issued by corporate. Very institutional where individuality is taken over by on time percentages, damage ratios, and very little compensation or revenue growth incentives.

Pros

Benefits are ok. Solid job security if you're a company guy. Starting pay was more than expected. You can work your way up if you don't have a soul nor life outside of work.

Cons

Where do i start??? Very little flexibility in shift. Murderous hours for ops supervisors. Salaried employees are worked like dogs while hourly employees are written up if they go 3 minutes over. Supervisors work the floor 10-12 hrs per day standing with no breaks or lunch on average. I've seen 13 hr days same thing. Ops supv writes up dock workers for low output even when they are purposely being safe and tying down cargo as instructed. Lose lose situation. Go slow. Trouble. Take extra time with cargo doing it right. Trouble. Crash a forklift trying to increase output trouble. Cargo gets jacked up enroute to dest. Trouble. Unachievable goals. Dock workers make literally 300 bucks per week before taxes but are worked like they are getting 50 an hr. Salaried employees can't complain about 60 to.70 hr weeks with NO addl cash flow cause you're ostracized by the yes men/company guys. No work life balance if your spouse children work or go to school during the day like normal ppl. Company only cares about the "purple promise" while the workers bleed. The economy has made treating employees like this possible because unemployment rates provide a steady flow of zombies that will accept the conditions.
