Micromanaged to the point that nobody has the ability to make a decision. Not the driver that has the problem, not the dispatcher, not the operations supervisor, not the terminal manager. A simple issue must go all the way up the ladder and of course by the time it gets there our competitors have picked up the freight. Every level of management is afraid of the level above themselves creating an atmosphere of distrust and nobody willing to take a stand. The company does not trust its people. Fedex spends so much money on the hiring process and education that one would think we would be given the opportunity to use our own skills and judgement to best perform the job at hand, instead we are shackelled and treated like incompetent children.
