Pros
The People-Service-Profit philosophy means that people come first. That doesn't mean what it did in the old days, but it does mean that the company tries to treat people fairly (i.e. all the same) and tries to treat people well. Great benefits, outstanding management (for the most part) and excellent job security.
Cons
There are rotten apples in every barrel, and in a company this large, you can find yourself working for "the boss from hell." Since the company tries to treat all its employees fairly, bad managers sometimes last for a long time, while their management tries to bring them around.
