Pros

great benefits, sound business and company to work for. they treat employees fairly well and have updated computer applications and equipment.

Cons

downsizing and making the reduced workforce responsible for more than they can sometimes handle. very fast paced and distracting at times. upper management disengaged from workers and issues.

Pros

fedex has pretty good job security due to the fact it is in the transportation industry and therefore will always be needed to keep the economy gooing, also the pay is good for what I do

Cons

working in a call center there tends to be a lot of micro managing going on, also I work in a high volume call center where I take in over 100+ calls per day

Pros

Never had a lay off. Decent pay for coming out of college and great benefits.

Cons

FedEx doesnt care about it's people. From the independent contractors, managers, to part time package handlers. The goals go up every year (or six months) while nothing changes to make the job easier. Usually in a production enviroment goals rise as new technology is introduced to make the job easier. I feel bad they way FedEx makes us treat our part time workers by working them as hard as we can then telling them to get OFF THE CLOCK. The work is back breaking, fast paced, and very dirty. As for the independent contractors, FedEx has this ingenious way of making them bear all the burden of owning a business and taking on all cost of fuel and maintenance. They are supposed to just deliver and pick up packages, but almost all of them have to either LOAD or HELP LOAD their van each and every morning.
