Pros

The shift hours are reasonable for someone looking for part-time work or an extra shift to make additional money. The work itself takes some physical exertion but isn't hard otherwise. The setup of the workplaces makes it a fairly nice place to be sociable.

Cons

Shifts will be moved around with no say from the employees. Upper management shows little concern for Package Handlers so long as it doesn't affect their jobs. Some of the truck drivers have strict demands for the loading of their trucks and aren't afraid to harass handlers about it, even though they're not supposed to. Ultimately, the package handlers are at the bottom of the food chain.

Pros

work life balance, people service profit philosophy, job security, flexible hours. 360 ddegree feedback is institutionalized across the company and is taken very seriously around here. this keep management honest and committed to the employees.

Cons

matured company offers limited growth opportunities. diversity is very visible but promotions are hard to come by. like any big company there is red tape to reckon with, things dont move quickly enough.

Pros

FedEx is a high paced dynamic company that continues to grow year after year. The company continues to make money despite tough economic times. The mood is cautious but upbeat for the future. FedEx is always looking for ways to improve customer service - the main job.

Cons

The company as a whole is mission oriented. The customer comes first and their satisfaction is the primary concern. Sometimes managers lose sight of the fact that it takes dedicated and loyal employees to complete the mission and it is that loyalty that is damaged everytime the managers take money out of the pockets of employees to save on the operating costs.
