      FedEx Hub in a nut shell.

      Pros

      Overall, the insurance is great and is very helpful when you are sick. Paid vacation is excellent for those much needed days off to relax. The potential for advancement at FedEx is very high. Many people start out in the hub and work their way in to management. The employee benefits and 401(K) are very good. Of course paid holidays are a nice way of saying thank you to the employees. Overall, the pay is competitive with others in the industry and that is an obvious plus.

      Cons

      The negative environment and attitude of the workers within the Hub is an obvious downfall of FedEx. Management also lacks committment to the employees. This brings the morale and productivity of the employee down.

      Pros

      FedEx is a company that is a leader in the transportation Industry. FedEx offers great career advancement opportunity. Very good training and preparation for other job opportunites. Management is fair, but there tends to be a lot of gossip floating around in the inside sales offices. Travel benefits and shipping discounts are awesome. You really can't compete with FedEx when it comes to these kinds of perks.

      Cons

      Politics and the gossip that goes around, and since the corporation is a large one the pay is not very good initially. It is a sacrifice initially for a long term career success.

      Pros

      Solid Fair Company. Great branding and visualization. It is truly wonderful to come to work where people care about one another and enjoy working together for a greater purpose, which is to service the world. FedEx helps the Economy and we definitely do our share of supporting outside causes such as United Way. It was absolutely amazing at how many were willing to volunteer their time and efforts this past Christmas Day and never complained about it. We just knew it had to be done. It made me proud that when companies are dying out there from the soft economy that our leader, Fred Smith, stood up for his company and said instead of downsizing and layoffs, we are going to take a pay decrease from my salary on down. That shows someone who cares.

      Cons

      It is so competitive that it is hard at times to move ahead professionally speaking.
