      - Most people work 30-35 hrs per week - High job security - Good work environment - Nice team work culture

      Cons

      - Salary is just comfortable and mostly the same for high, low and mediocre performers - There is no career growth path - Very low risk taking culture - Every job is posted and people are interviewed. People who want to move forward spend more than half their time networking and other half creating interview packets. Promotion or career advancement is probably 20% dependent on skill and 80% on networking. - Without promotions, which take on average about 5-10 years, the annual raises are about 1-3%. Yes the range is difference between significantly exceeding expectations and not meeting expectations

      stable place to work, systems work, great name, founder is still CEO

      Cons

      very unhappy people working here. management has gone down hill and could care less if you stay or go. not supportive.... overall, the work isn't bad or very complicated. a little mundane and there is NO room for any outside the box thought. nothing fun or progressive going on here

      Great Pay but is changing.

      Pros

      Good pay for the industry. New hires will find they are on a pay schedule that differs from those who have been there for a while. Use to be topped out in three years and new schedule will take around nine years. Technicians will find the work interesting as the fleet is varied with B727, B757, MD10, MD11, A300, A310 and B777 aircraft. Bottom line if you can handle the odd working hours and days, see below, then FedEx express may be a great place to work.

      Cons

      For weekends off you will have to work grave yard shift. Day shift has odd days off, (M-W) or rotating days off with four day weekend (Fri to Mon) every other week. Advancement in the management ranks is definitely more about who you know than what you know. Memphis TN, Is an okay area to live but has limited culture and variety. Education for primary schools is okay in certain outlying communities. If you are coming from a major city be prepared to deal with limited dinning and outing experiences.
