Pros

The benefits and compensation are among the best. A place were you can grow professionally and as an individually through hundreds of online enrichment courses. A great company that has a clear vision of its future through the leadership of its CEO, Mr. Ned Johnson and his family.

Cons

Due to its constant change and forward visionary; work-life balance can become a challenge for some associates.

Pros

As an IT professional, this is a great place to work. The company invests in technology a lot and is proud to be one of the best companies in the technology field in the tech magazines. Benefit package is one of the best in the industry, with exceptional company match/profit sharing for retirement. Abundant opportunities for training.

Cons

The general salary level seems a bit lower compared to the industry average, which is compensated by the great retirement benefit package.

Pros

Paid study time to pass exams.

Cons

Fidelity is one of those "we grew too fast for our own good" companies. From 1990 to 2000, the employee base grew exponentially and alot of people who had no business being in any sort of management role found themselves in charge of other people in management. Fidelity now cannot care about their new recruits having bachelor's or master's degrees, because many of the site directors have only high school diplomas to their name. The national director of phone centers is working on a bachelor's degree. There is no reward for education or effort, and for a while the quickest way to get into a manager position was to be female--hardly any other qualification was needed.
