      A great place to start, but it can take a while to make a decent salary.

      Pros

      Great place to learn about the financial markets and great benefits. Tons of customers to work with, don't have to worry about building your own book of clients.

      Cons

      Not a lot of variety in most of the roles at Fidelity. Need to try hard to make the phone jobs exciting. Too many campaigns and changing goals in the sales roles. Tiered approach to bonuses, someone is always at the bottom, no matter what. Not necessarily paid for what you do (but that's the rules of a salary plus bonus structure).

      Pros

      I feel that Fidelity Investments has many good attributes . I feel that employees receive fair treatment by managers, good salary and benefits, and have plenty of opportunities for advancement. They also encourage you to develop your skills as a planner and provide lots of support.

      Cons

      Very conservative corporate culture, sometimes it's difficult to navigate the different parts of the company. Sometimes it takes a while to get things done.

      The benefits are great at Fidelity. You also can meet some good contacts as well.

      Cons

      Takes forever to move up in this company. Management are dads and mothers who are content in staying in their positions for many years which prevents movement within the firm.
