Pros

Fair salary. Otherwise, no particular reason as the people makes the company a good place to work for. If you have a bad mgr or coworker, then it makes it tough to like your job no matter how match you make. I'm lucky as I get along with my mgr. Company culture is fine.

Cons

Health benefits could be better. Employee contribution amount for medical is too high, no vision benefits, dental is basic. They force you to take all your vaca and sick days or you lose at at the end of the year.

Pros

Great Opportunity for advancement. Huge company so plenty of opportunity to move to other groups depending on your interest. The company encourages individuals to pursue their interests at the company and also outside of work.

Cons

The company at times does not seem to have everything together. They have gotten so big that communication between departments is difficult and sometimes non-existent. The work at times can seem boring but Fidelity does attempt to try to improve your skills so you are able to move up.

Pros

At FMR, you are given a lot of freedom to do your job. FMR also provides tremendous access to resources. Since it is such a large institution, FMR has superior access to management. Job performance is quantifiable.

Cons

It is a very large corporation, so it is difficult to make a name for yourself. Additionally, the job is very independent, so you must be comfortable initiating conversation with other members of the firm. In isolated instances, there is a lack of interaction among team members.
