Pros

It is fully remote & they provide equipment

Cons

My job has changed titles & departments 7 times in two years being bounced from one place to shorter and pulled back when they need me somewhere else. A training position is dressed up like a promotion but then your job stability and all expectations of what you are doing day to day vanish. People who have proven to be unreliable, dishonest, & irresponsible keep seniority, tenure, & high ranking positions with no accountability whatsoever. However, those same people can play games with your schedule, your pay, and your overall well being so don’t expect to have good mental health or a work life balance. Schedules may or may not be finalized by Friday night for the following week & you may have schedules posted the morning of that conflict with the schedule that was previously posted so good luck planning for family events, doctor appointments, or other important 9-5 business hour appointments. For the last 3 months, I have had to wake up at 6:30 or earlier to check my email or hunt down the schedule in chat threads to find out what time I am working that day because my current position opens at 7am & they are allowed to schedule me any time from 7-5. Most of the time it is posted ten minutes before we start but sometimes it hasn’t been posted until much later. And the schedule will have me listed as doing duties for times prior to when the schedule is posted that I miss because I didn’t know I was supposed to be there. I’ve also been late twice because my schedule in WFO says 8:30 start time and then a schedule will be posted right before or afterward that says I was scheduled for 8. So I’m either fighting with the schedule adherence people that I wasn’t MIA but uniformed until moments before or after my start time or I miss out on pay because I arrive at my scheduled time and then a schedule is posted showing I could’ve been clocked in an hour +\-earlier. In the last year alone I have made $13 > $15> $18> $15> $12> $15> $18> $15 >$18> $15 and currently I’m unsure of what one of the codes I use to clock in is paid at so there’s been a $?> $15. Each time I put a > that means I’ve changed pay because my role has changed. 12 moves in the last year. And there have been opportunities that I have offered to be available for that have fallen through so it should have been more changes than that. Those are hourly rates. Often times your choice is to jump around like this or get limited hours (and sometimes you have no choice & your hours are cut without option to work elsewhere to try to get a full paycheck. I was told on Friday that this coming week, full time employees would be scheduled for 18 hours & 24 the week following). I feel like it has been strategic money planning that has kept me from going under financially because this company has done nothing to provide any stability in pay. In addition, I have worked while having COVID because my management wouldn’t respond and I was concerned about losing my job if I didn’t come back to work soon enough even to though I pay monthly for short term disability and was in the hospital for the severity of my symptoms. There have been times where I was being trained to do two different jobs at the same time and would literally work one job on M,T,F & work the other on W, Th but was being evaluated on both positions. I have also been uptrained on a position, then was pulled to do something else for 10 weeks then expected to go back and remember what I was trained on without ever having put it into practice. And again, expected to be able to complete complex processes & meet metrics with no reliable support. When the company changed hands (we’re on the 4th name now… 3rd in the last six months) I had to sign an agreement that I couldn’t pursue the company with a class action lawsuit and it was a red flag. I would call this a train wreck but that would be offensive to train wrecks. The company knows this is bad business. So much that they are protecting themselves from being exposed or held accountable.

Pros

If you have to work from home this is an option.

Cons

They change schedules with no notice, moving you around to different campaigns wherever they need to meet their numbers. Very little feedback/support from management. Raises only come with a promotion and sometimes not even then. It wasn't a good experience.

Pros

Remote work! This alone makes it worth it most days. Sitel is so big that there are lots of internal growth opportunities. Benefits like health insurance, life insurance, dental, vision, 401k, PTO We are growing! Get in, get untrained and move up. Work is more stable once you move up.

Cons

You may have to bug your managers for upskilling opportunities. Pay rate could be better once you start moving up. Health insurance coverage is not all that great.
