Pros

Ok as a first job. Exposure to different projects means plenty of opportunities to learn. Being an OEM, job security is pretty stable, especially when projects enter mass production stage. Medical, dental, and vision coverage and 401k with company match. Very lax dress code.

Cons

Below average salary with almost zero chance of getting a raise. Working hours are long (OT and weekend shifts almost guaranteed). Outdated equipment used to manufacture units, leading to poor quality and more headaches at the test line. Experienced engineers seem to leave every month for greener pastures, leaving inexperienced new grads to take over and inevitably fall on their faces. Managers encourage finger pointing whenever something goes wrong, rather than actually working together to solve the issue. Communicating with 99% of the staff in English is near impossible. Need to know Mandarin and/or Vietnamese (something they fail to mention in the job description).
