Pros

Big company, good reputation. Good working relationship with the team members and immediate bosses. Plenty of time given to learn new stuff and group meeting helps in terms of learning from each other.

Cons

Bad working environment, bad food, senior management not trustworthy, unfair bonuses, RD are not being treated with respect. Senior managements have a lot of internal power struggling. Bad compensation. The business is going down and not much new things to learn if stay there for too long. The company is situated in the middle of nowhere which is hard for employers to commute on a daily basis. Overall work environment is not good

Pros

New grads who seek for real working experience and learn real industry skills in a short time. I learned a lot more during the year of working at Foxconn than the 4 years of studies in college. They have a good system of training and teaching the new employees on the project and tools they are using. Very solid background on the things they are good at and is very good at carry things out. They are looking for people who have good execution skills. If you like to work in a fast pace environment, you will love to work for this company.

Cons

Management style is very strict. The management is always harsh on employees. My manager even shouted at us for not doing thing correctly. This might just be that particular manager is bad, but I get the feeling that the management style in this company is all like that, very strict. They want you to work very hard and complete the things the management wants in the shortest time. The communications between employees and the management is not very good. They work very long hours and sometimes they want you to come and work on the weekends to complete the work.

Pros

Good pay With some bosses there are possibilities of quick promotions and career advancement

Cons

The conditions in different departments vary. Disconnect between different levels of management. Most managers are incompetent and have been promoted too early.Managers have no idea of what happens at a grass root level. Instructions come from top and have no relation to grassroot realities. No direction in management , it is more firefighting than actually running a company.Departments competing with each other for the same business leading to redundancy.Mid level management is clannish as they come from the same country.Local employees are treated badly. This sort of management can be used to direct manufacturing successfully , however the company will face difficulties when it moves into original or joint design sectors.
