Pros

Capitalist management culture, thrive or die, very little human element to management Short term business strategies, constant daily change

Cons

Extremely high employee turnover, limited investment in employee career progression Highly transparent communication culture, everyone is an expert of your work, prepare to spend alot of your time on justifying EVERYTHING you do Word of advice, don't believe what hr tells you

Pros

Flexible working hours Free soft drinks Friday lunches

Cons

Management spends a lot of effort trying to make you think it's a fun place to work and convince you that it's better than other companies so that you will accept a lower salary. The company is focused solely on profit and has moved away from R&D.

Pros

- Great name to have on the resume, as many have mentioned work here for a year and double your salary elsewhere - Smart, interesting colleagues - Hackathons when they do happen - Snacks and drinks, but don't let HR tell you that makes up for the below average salary - Very quick title and responsibility promotions - Never a dull day office gossip wise

Cons

Most recent reviews are fairly accurate. Personally the cons I experienced were: - Micromanagement, from direct managers, their manager and the CEO - Lack of direction and clarity on what they want you to achieve - No formal reviews or feedback process, therefore no way to get a promotion (not that they have budget for it anyway unless you threaten to resign) - Willingness of multiple managers to do dodgy things and try cover their tracks - Focus on revenue rather than the customer experience. Short term monetary focus rather than the longer term success, this has already been evident across many areas of the company and has burnt so many users - Boys club, understandable as a tech company that most engineers are male, but at least most companies are trying to rectify this. All male product managers too. Hiring female account managers or accounting staff doesn't really fix the inherent problem. But at this rate this is the last of their worries. - Other things where you'd get fired at any other company like harassment, bullying, verbal abuse, get belittled by senior management etc.
