      Great experience but average pay

      Pros

      The CEO has the excellent attitude that anybody can fix any problems they see. Any time someone whinges he makes them in charge of said problem. Also, you get to write a lot of code. Not many meetings or process. Also, great on your resume and great experience, much better than you'd get at big 4.

      Cons

      The old cliche holds true in this case: middle management is incompetent. Product managers are fine for the most part, but the senior engineers / team leads are not team players. It's fine that a company has problems, but being forbidden from fixing them is truly frustrating. Eng team leads tend to insist that you do things their way, which ultimately means you can only ever amount to a mediocre impersonation of them, thus appearing inferior. Due to eng team lead incompetence (and CEO also de-risking the business), profits are low.

      Pros

      A lot of good opportunities. Well organised site.

      Cons

      Can have horrendous delay in payment. Unnecessarily complex verification process, which they seem to require every time a withdrawl is required - and even previously used information can glitch. If this happens they don't tell you what the glitch is, they just require you to re-submit your verification details. They will also charge a conversion fee if you are paid in one currency and withdraw in another, which I think is not on. Customer service can be the worst I have ever come across.

      Pros

      If you're young and need to get experience on what you to do in the future, this is the company for you. They'll provide you with what you need so you can spark a great idea that can help the company or its users. Free food, lunch, beer, lotsa stuff that can make you feel at home even when you're in the office.

      Cons

      Most of the management guys grab credit, they'd push away your idea for a couple of months and then some top guy from Sydney or from other offices would come up with this great idea! (which was originally yours).
