Pros

Gensler provides a solid career bedrock for the ambitious individual looking to make their mark on higher profile projects nationwide. I greatly appreciate the high expectation everyone is held to, as it fosters an environment where everyone is willing to go to bat and give their all for their fellow coworker. Benefits package is second to none, compensation is the best in the region, and the opportunity to be an employee-owner is an underrated bonus to those looking to make a longer-term commitment. Project demands are high, but for a world class organization with a stellar reputation they should be. Gensler sources great talent and expects that talent to deliver, as they should. Co-workers are friendly and welcoming.

Cons

Drawing standards and expectations can vary from region to region, which is unexpected for a company that utilizes talent from numerous regions on each project. I expected that things like standard details and notation style would be consistent across the board, minimizing chances for error. There can be too much focus on DEI initiatives, but thankfully at the Dallas location this is somewhat de-emphasized. Work/life balance can be strained, although thankfully the pressures of the workplace do not tend to extend past the walls of the office.
