Pros

You can make your own way and take your career any direction you want. Gensler truly lives by the "one firm firm" philosophy. The network between the offices is amazing. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the industry's top talent on incredible projects.

Cons

Some people struggle to maintain their desired work life balance but it is really up to each individual to achieve this balance so I don't think it is a true reflection on Gensler.

I had intern in Gensler shanghai office, it was an international design team, I really like the work environment, is like big family, all people are nice and support you.

Pros

The marketing machine is unparalleled. They have mastered the art of self promotion. The client base is extensive with the potential to work on exciting projects.

Cons

Highly political environment. Too many senior staff who provide conflicting direction and consume fee because of their high billing rates. A PMs worst nightmare. Basic skills and technical knowledge at various levels are severely lacking.
