Pros

Great atmosphere. Reputable company. Amazing projects. Smart people. Good pay. A decent handful of stylish and attractive people.

Cons

People enjoy being friends with each other, joking, and having fun during office hours which can be a little distracting. Yep, that's my only complaint and it's actually a good problem.

Pros

- flexibility - a 'choose your own adventure' style of career - apparently very flat hierarchy, which I found in some cases to be true (mostly with very senior management) but in middle management not so much - some great resources in the firm, great research and further development opportunities

Cons

Not sure it is a 'con' exactly, but Gensler has a very strong internal culture. Some people fit well and just go from strength to strength, others can find this very difficult to navigate, particularly in the beginning. Seemed to me to be a culture of leaving people to figure out and prove their worth on their own, which I can see means only the strongest make it through (and once they are 'through' they are very loyal). But I think they also lose a lot of very talented staff through this approach. Someone also told me once that Gensler will never tell you to your face what they think of you. This always bothered me! I want an open, two-way discussion with my employer.
