Pros

Working with talented, creative people on amazing projects. Feels like a family. People are friendly; those that are hired and turn out not to be usually find a way out, because they can't hack the positive vibe. Very entrepreneurial--if you have a vision of doing something and the ability, Gensler will give you room to try it out.

Cons

Design doesn't pay as well as other industries. Has it's share of office politics--but not as much as others in this industry.

Pros

The education and learning opportunities are fantastic, the large network of offices means that there is a lot of knowledge sharing. The majority of the people at Gensler are great to work with and there is a strong sense of family and community among the "workers".

Cons

Upper management is a bit of a popularity contest and it is a bit top-heavy right now. while there is room to grow career wise, because the firm is so big, it is hard to make a difference. If you want to suceed and make it to the higher ranks, dont worry about actual work ethic or performance, you are better off socializing as its not about what you know, its who you know.
