Pros

- the people are caring, helpful, friendly, and genuine - there is a desire for a happy and modern culture - very high earnings potential (1MM+) - if you enjoy or can withstand analyst/admin work for years to reach the top this may be for you - Again, you can make a lot of money

Cons

- analyst/admin type work. Filling out forms, printing and organizing documents, monotonous reporting. - senior positions make good money, everyone below them makes lower than average money - during year if you want to be promoted or have recognition for your work you must work at least 45 hour weeks, during tax season you will work 60+. - theres a tax season. You do tax returns mindlessly for months. - HR doesnt care about you - SVP is the man - depending on who your manager is determines whether you will hate your life or not - they hire younger college grad types to grind them out during tax season - Goldman is taking over and replacing anyone they want. Why work towards VP if the position is unstable

Pros

Some of the people here are very nice and welcoming. Goldman Sachs on my resume was definitely a plus. Great place to start - good experience .

Cons

The processes are clunky and technology is absolutely horrible. As an FA, I worked extremely long hours, especially during tax season. For the low and well below market value pay, not worth the long hours and stress (unless you are an Account Manager, because they get paid a ton). They took away tax compensation, which is incredibly unfair for all the hard work and long hours you put in. Worst of all, there is nepotism in the Operations department- as a result they are very biased and management tolerates this. Needless to say, I happily resigned after finding a much better employer. This place is a terrible place to work. Not just the company but this particular office. If you don’t mind dealing with long hours, low pay and unfair nepotism from the exec side than this is the place for you!! Otherwise, please do yourself a favor and steer clear.

Pros

It's a job and they will pay you to get higher education if you stay. 12 weeks paid paternity leave.

Cons

If your not in the club your time their will stink and forgot about upwards mobility. If you take the full parental leave the odds are you will get fired within a couple years if not sooner. The health insurance is horrendous and lay offs happen often. Also the place has turned into political correctness run amok. Also be prepared for low raises and bonuses.
