      Pros

      Very capable teams. High-performance and high respect environment. Good mix of ages and experience creates a positively diverse environment. Decent work/life balance is possible most of the time.

      Cons

      Short-term thinking/actions driven by obsession over quarterly results are frustrating. The business is shrinking (attrition, layoffs) with no clear end in sight. Salaries haven't kept up with inflation for 10 years. The company is still suffering from multiple huge blunders made at the board level (e.g. CEO choices, crazy huge acquisitions that wasted unbelievable $$$.)

      Pros

      The people are amazing at HP. There are so many growth opportunities if you are willing to relocate. Great benefits.

      Cons

      Upper management drives a very European management style where achievements are never good enough, even if meeting your targets. Sales targets are set to unachieveable levels when product shipments are slipping.

      Pros

      There are a lot of very good and professional folks to work with in HP. People who are working all hours of the day and night supporting things all over the world. A good team spirit.

      Cons

      There are too many things to do from all of the people who have left. If you are conscientious you will end up doing way too many of them for yourself and your team. Your manager won't likely even know what they are or who does them. If they interfere with the less meaningful work the managers want done they will complain or argue about what other team should do them.
