Pros

Excellent environment to work at. Everyone treats each other like family and covers each other when needed. Frequent guests who return remember you and make you value your job even more. I worked with this company for 2 years and I valued every minute of it. The pay is decent but it is the team effort that really makes this job worth it.

Cons

Hospitality is not an easy branch of employment, it will require patience and an open mindedness in order to get each task done. Each branch has its unique bonuses but it would be great if there are department specific bonuses.

Pros

The hospitality industry always keeps you on your toes. Day to day work may be the same but the guests are truly what makes the job amazing. I have worked with Hilton brands since 2009 and would not work for any other brand. Hilton is innovative, exciting, and always finding ways to improve the guest experience. Helping make our job, more rewarding.

Cons

Honestly, the only downside is you can always count on working holidays or weekends. Because we are a 24/7 operation, you are bound to work these days that a lot of people would rather not. However, again the guests make everything worthwhile. Would I change my schedule, no way. Would I change my career path for the reason, no!

Pros

The opportunity to earn certifications within the Hilton company is readily available. Because hotels are always open, there is opportunity to work hours around school schedules and get overtime.

Cons

The hours are tough - hotels are 24 hours a day/365 days a year, so the potential to have to work on holidays and weekends is high.
