Pros

Family atmosphere, supervisor very friendly and understanding, good benefits. Flexible schedule is great.

Cons

No pay raise or very little, was making $11. per hour after being there 5 years! Last raise was .30 cents. After wage and 401K freeze not worth staying. Half of my paycheck went to pay for health insurance. I can't imagine working for so little and having to pay for cooking school.

Pros

Great people, lots of opportunuties to learn and free (or very cheap) stays at many great hotels around the globe.

Cons

I was hired to do a customer service job and the whole selection process was towards finding service-oriented people. After a few months, we all had to start selling as well, I hated it because I wouldn't even have applied to a job that included sales.

Guests are very nice for the most part and everyone is very hospitable. Dmployees are usually the ones that understand your issues with the hotel and you can relate.

Cons

The pay and benefits of the job do not compensate for the shocking low price they pay you for working.
