Pros

opportunities to learn and grow across different functions and/or locations if you are ok to be relocated. In general, employees get great feedback from supervisor during annual performance review.

Cons

Matrix organization makes decision too slow. Waste resources to work on mandate requested from Paris. Career advancement is limited in North America due to depress industry and flatten organization.

High Salary and 10-30% bonus as manager Management team is extremely smart and forward thinking Opportunities for high fliers to work abroad

Cons

Low visibility and control on personal and professional development Advancement procedures sometimes not clear Not the best industry if you don't like heavy machinery, quarries and construction.

Good work atmosphere and good rapport shared between employees and senior management. Compensation is decent and lots of opportunities to grow exist in emerging markets.

Cons

Slow in decision-making and not very organized. The company's divisions in other countries seem to be small independent companies by themselves.
