Pros

Easy going co-workers and working environment

Cons

No Design and Management At All, survived by city projects. People are good at power games instead of design.

Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoy IBI’s working environment as we strive to provide an open and inclusive atmosphere not only through our open concept offices, but through flexible work arrangements and of course the talented individuals that we hire. We regret to hear you did not have a positive experience with your managers. We always aim to promote leaders that foster a positive work environment for their team and help them grow and develop in their careers. What you’ve described is not something we endorse at IBI Group and we are sorry you had to experience this during your time with us.

Pros

Can work remotely due to covid

Cons

You are a resource. Nothing more. You will be put on projects that may or may not relate to your skills. Career growth does not exist here because you are on permanent rotations rather than having the chance to develop whatever "expertise" the company tells the client you possess. You can tell your manager what you want to do. They may listen, but it ends there. To younger folks, you will not have a mentor to guide you as you are constantly put on the spot to figure out how everything works on your own during your excessive unpaid overtime. If you demonstrate that you have potential in something, certain individuals will make sure that you "know your place" and silence you. As for compensation, it is below market, and because of covid, you won't even get that < 1% raise for inflation.

Thank you for your review. Our COVID- 19 response was quick and thoughtful and as such, all of our employees have been safely working remotely since the start of the pandemic. An open communication between managers and employees is of the upmost importance to us and we have programs in place to ensure open dialogue and recognition. Our annual Performance Reviews are just one opportunity to have interactions with your manager and set career growth goals for the future. It’s a way you can let it be known that you want more out of IBI Group and set out a career path forward. Where compensation is concerned, we have a team that is always looking at market data to ensure our employees are properly and fairly compensated for the work they do. By law, overtime is paid out to eligible employees in accordance with the Employment Standards Act of Ontario. For those employees looking to grow their network and gain new knowledge and experience, our Mentorship at IBI program to foster those relationships. We encourage all employees - especially our more junior staff - to participate in and gain guidance as they navigate the next frontiers in their career journey. Although you are not an employee of IBI Group any longer, please know that we appreciate the feedback and it is always taken seriously.

Pros

They provide Flexible working hours at times

Cons

No appreciation to employees, Lower salaries than the rest of the industry, no growth, poor management, old fashioned views on progression, people that were hired earlier get promoted earlier regardless of effort. No compassion to health issues or hardships of employees. Management is old white men promoting and favoring other white males.

There are many programs in place to aid with recognition, visibility and upward mobility for all staff. In the last few years we have implemented a Global Women’s Network, a Leadership Development program, a Mentorship program, and a Recognition program across IBI Group globally. We have a comprehensive Short-Term Disability program, Long-Term Disability program, and an Employee Assistance Program available to staff 24/7. On top of these, we pride ourselves on our flexibility and willingness to accommodate staff through their specific situation(s) to ensure both their physical and mental well-being is supported.
