Pros

Benefits,vacation/sick time, fellow co-workers, 4 day work week, dental, vision, short- term and long term disability, spouse ad&d insurance, insurance for pets

Cons

Management is rude, upper management doesn’t know what’s going on, it’s a toxic waste land, Human Resources does not administer policies consistently, the running joke is it all depends on the head hr lady’s mood that day on whether or not you get written up or not, management group from what I can see isn’t treated as well as hourly co-workers, hourly go-workers get lots of extra incentives while management just gets pushed harder

Pros

Great benefits when you consider the price.

Cons

When IKEA hires management externally, they do not provide adequate training on the "IKEA" way. If you send a manager to train in a position who is brand new to the company, they are learning how to run the equipment, not how to be an IKEA manager. If the person has any retail management experience at all, they assume that you can handle all of IKEA's nonsense, like having to share a stapler and not actually being a manager.

Pros

Decent Medical / Dental / Life I used to think there were a lot more when I started 3 years ago, crazy how i can only think of this one now.

Cons

The IKEA Values are just corporate rhetoric, used on official documents to tell you how to do your job better but nobody actually lives by them, at least not at this location. Management says they care about employee issues but actions speak otherwise The location GM and Service Office are spoon fed lies, inaccurate statistics and nobody does anything about it when it is brought to their attention. Nobody wants to hear that truth. Way behind on technology hardware/applications - painfully so Worse scheduling I have ever experienced in a corporation of this magnitude. Expect to have no evenings and weekends to yourself.
