Pros

The cross training meeting new people, discounted lunch

Cons

I made a schedule to no sundays changed due to religious beliefs. I was told that I would be fired or forced to quit. Plus I was told that if I mentioned this during the hiring process I wouldn't have been hired. IKEA does discriminates with double standard views!!

If you care about food safety stay away.

Pros

They have good health insurance and pto.

Cons

No set schedules, not willing to work with you so you can work another job because you can't make enough to survive working just there unless you are married or share living expenses with someone else. The hot food handling is absolutely atrocious, with disgustingly filthy heat lights over the food. The management does nothing to correct the unsafe practices except when they are expecting an audit and then it only lasts until it's over. The minute the auditor walks out they revert back to the same habits. It doesn't matter how much you point it out to them. All that happens is they start targeting you instead of the food safety violators. HR doesn't care nor does anyone in upper store management. Even their outside audit company is lax beyond belief. Having spent my life in food service I have never encountered such horrendous, hostile working conditions. I've worked everything from fast food to 5star restaurants.
