      Pros

      Indeed has a good mission, and pretty good flexibility in what your team could be working on. PTO policy was pretty lenient as well as pretty good benefits.

      Cons

      Within the 3 years I worked here, multiple great perks were removed, the first (and second) ever layoffs happened, and SLT quickly moved to worsen working conditions while taking no responsibility for their failures. Priorities and direction change on a quarterly basis, with systemic lack of coordination between teams that can become political.

      Pros

      The people that I worked with at Indeed were easily some of the best of any tech company I've ever worked for. Very bright, caring, and fun people - across functional areas and business units. Just great folks doing good work.

      Cons

      Over the past year, since the first layoff in March 2023, there has been a frequent series of organizational shakeups that continually re-introduced stress into the system, making it difficult for people to stay focused on their work. Then yet another layoff this month is starting all that over again. It's directly impacted me and that sucks but I also feel for the people left who have to pick up the pieces.
