Pros

Great benefits and the best colleagues around! It's rare to come across someone working at IRC who doesn't have a high level of commitment to the people we serve.

Cons

I've experienced poor work/life balance and am very underpaid for my title and work I do

Pros

Once the organization offered a well-recognized name, stable work, reasonable pay, and solid benefits (including health insurance and a decent—though not exceptional—vacation package).

Cons

Unfortunately, that stability has disappeared. The company was first shaken by reduced government funding and later by a series of poor leadership decisions. In recent years, its vision has become increasingly disconnected from reality. Roles are often filled by individuals who are not fully qualified or the right fit, while highly skilled employees have been laid off through multiple rounds of cuts. This has caused morale and motivation across teams to drop significantly. The organization no longer feels aligned with the values it promotes, and its overall direction is unclear.
