Still working out the kinks

Pros

Constantly evolving technology that makes the role easier perform and information easier to access. Lots of incentives. Room for advancement.

Cons

Assistants are fairly new customer service roles so the kinks are still being worked out. No dedicated / focused meetings for just this role. Breakdown in communication as to the role of an assistant vs what the tax preparers believe the assistants should do.

Pros

Work from home during pandemic,

Cons

Very closely monitored, all phone conversations , some video. Had worked with client for approx. 2.5 hrs. on return situation and it was getting close to 10 pm. I said, we should wrap it up for today and I would call the client back tomorrow, I had 2 Intuit management people in my ear saying "turbo Tax never closes, do not say we need to pass for the evening.
