Pros

- Allows you to work from home and set your own schedule

Cons

- Bonus has not been increased in years / does not even account for inflation - No benefits for seasonal employees other than sick pay and Internet reimbursement - Greatly reduced hours and incentives this year with no advanced noticed - Contracted to provide a minimum of 32 hours, which they did not fulfill - Did not advise employees hours were going to be greatly reduced this season disallowing employees the ability to make decisions best for their situation, greatly reduced the income due to cutting hours/overtime employees were expecting based on prior years with no noticed affecting financial outcomes poorly - Company culture completely changed this year with a coaching down approach expecting employees to provide feedback on how we can improve rather than a coaching up approach as used in years past, where we were provided with concrete, specific examples of how we can be better and improve professionally - Excessive pressure but on employees to be perfect, which literally is impossible

Thank you for sharing your experience as a TurboTax Live Expert. We appreciate the important role you’ve played in supporting our customers. We also appreciate you providing your feedback around this past season. We recognize that this past season brought unexpected changes, and we understand how frustrating it can be when expectations around hours, compensation, and support shift without clear communication. Your input will be provided to our People Experiences team for further action. If you’re able to add your feedback via HR Connect, we would welcome that as well. Thank you again for leaving us a review and for the more than 4 years you’ve contributed to our mission of helping power prosperity for our customers.

Mailchimp was great but it died when Intuit acquired it.

Pros

It used to be Mailchimp. Mailchimp was great.

Cons

At mailchimp there were no mass layoffs, that has begun since being purchased by Intuit. What a soul-less company and new CEO of Mailchimp, Rania Succar (from Intuit).

Pros

- Freebies from time to time - Employee stock purchase plan although I never availed it.

Cons

- Poor leadership and middle management. - Will overwork you and exploit you in the name of on-call, outdated technology and practices, and hence will get more work done from you than you would be paid for, without even recognition. Middle management without any knowledge or contribution would take the credit for all. - Bullying culture towards contractors, departing employees and even new joiners. The company seems to have a bias against men in their DNA and that's openly prevalent in their practices like CSR initiatives like sponsoring education only for girls. Not to say that the gender ratio in teams is any better but you won't feel valued in your position for sure. - They have an internal portal for mandatory courses which to me seemed more like a mind programming mechanism to brainwash employees in their own culture and malpractices in the name of culture, ethics, etc.. I have worked at many other places and none does it to the extent Intuit does - no surprise why they even have a training on how to protect yourself from shooters on campus, which I presume could be a commonplace occurrence given how bad they are. - This is one of the most rotten organisation to the core. Please avoid at all costs and all their rankings are a big lie and open deception.
