Alarmingly low benchmark for culture

Pros

Fast paced environment, you might even be lucky finding good people. Decent work. Most people are smart. Great benefits.

Cons

Bad work life balance. It's "mandatory" to have fun, they think it offsets the ordeal. The fluff does not hold. The build-up about all the work they do is pretty large, actual understanding and execution is alarmingly absent. Layoff culture is real, even when they say it's not anymore. The environment inside is not flat, extremely top down and manager driven, They will justify their actions by saying "It's the same everywhere, or worse" and have capable people pouring into the toxicity, which actually is not true. Many unfortunate leaders who haven't experienced better, and even the capable ones struggle to drive real change. I've seen many optimistic, bright people come into this place and shrink so little or watch their confidence take a beating. Don't do this to yourself.

Pros

Intuit has really good benefits and great end of year time off!

Cons

The middle management team consistently micromanages and lacks support for their direct reports. There's a clear absence of effective leadership skills, which negatively impacts the entire team. A major concern is the constant, unstructured change in company direction. This extends to significant, unannounced alterations that directly affect sales representatives' compensation, often with zero warning until the day of implementation. This approach demonstrates a lack of respect for employees. Furthermore, management does not empower their representatives, offers no positive reinforcement, and focuses solely on negatives. The result is a cycle of redundant training sessions that do little to improve performance or morale. This lack of stable direction also impacts customer relationships. There are continuous shifts in strategy for customers, including the activation of unrequested services. This makes it incredibly difficult for representatives to effectively sell new services when existing customer issues remain unresolved.

Pros

It's a job with a paycheck & benefits I can't think of ANY other good things to say

Cons

- program managers take the blame for everything that goes wrong because no one else is held accountable to do their jobs - you are expected to be a robot, take the blame, the negative feedback and then turn it all around within 4 weeks time or you are let go. I have witnessed this happening to 2 co-workers that I know of in the last 7 months - if you receive 1 negative VP stakeholder feedback then the entire leadership team loses their confidence in you - there is no direct manager support or mentorship or coaching; you are set up for failure and left to fail - managers are too afraid for their own jobs and therefore do not backup their teams or provide any level of protection even though they know people are being let go for the wrong reasons - tech leaders in this space are toxic, have no clear plan, talk in circles and often disrupt meetings so nothing ever gets done or decided - P&P VP+ leadership lets it happen - key leadership personnel are leaving however I am unsure of their replacements being any better or any more emotionally intelligent - they have drank the kool aid and have been groomed to treat employees very poorly.
