Pros

It's a cliche but there are amazing and very intelligent people in the team You will make friends for life at Intuit Company culture/values are great, but up to a point. They can go too far and become cultish and too reliant on buzzwords. Nice offices, centrally located

Cons

Outdated systems Product needs a lot of improvement The culture has changed in recent months, UK marketing management are causing some of the best talent to leave and if they haven't left already, they're seriously considering it. The staff turnover over in the past year has accelerated and despite giving lots of 'feedback' (Intuit's favourite thing!) it doesn't seem to be making any difference, as seen by the recent Annual Employee Survey results which should have been a catalyst for management change but hasn't been. Staff are listened to but not heard by HR as the managers are still there and still causing stress and headaches, marching to their own beat without bringing everyone along with them, just cracking the whip.

Pros

The benefits at Intuit are second to none. They offer amazing medical, dental, vision and perks. Only 3 weeks of vacation which is a little weak for this day and age but the onsite gym and cafeteria make your days easy and hassle free. They also offer paid volunteer time every year so you can get some time in doing volunteer work for your favorite charities. There was a lot of anonymity with my role so I felt that I had the freedom to manage my projects the way I wanted to.

Cons

Management does nothing to keep their top talent. It seems like they tend to keep promoting the same undeserving people while others who work their butts off get completely ignored. The company is old so they try to tack Agile on an old waterfall process and it just doesn't work. Intuit talks a great deal about honesty, transparency, and values but when it comes down to it, they only expect that of regular employees. Managers are constantly having secret meetings and you are usually the last person to know when a decision has been made behind closed doors that directly affects your job. The secrecy is maddening. The company in general is so bogged down by process and bureaucracy that it's amazing anything ever gets done. In the end, Turbotax is the bread and butter for this company so if you're not working for that team in any way, then your chances for success are slim to none.
