Not very modern. Bureaucracy and excessive approvals make doing anything cumbersome and slow, aged systems and difficult access to data make the role tedious. Imagine the opposite of agile. Audit mentality rather than long term strategic commercial decision making. On the whole exceptionally boring as processes and system limitations constrain autonomy and dynamic decision making. Limited progression- Pay is ok but pay rises only just in line with inflation and below market increases.
