Hello and thanks for your honest feedback. We're proud of our rapid growth, however acknowledge parking and other infrastructure has been stretched at our Gaydon facility by this. As an example of how we're urgently tacking this, £3billion is being invested across the business in 2015/2016 alone.

Pros

An incredible change in the last five years, from a company struggling financially with outdated products, to a rapidly-growing organisation with truly amazing product portfolio. There is incredible energy and a real belief that anything can be done, and it usually is achieved. Most colleagues are great at what they do, and there is a brilliant team ethic. There is the opportunity to really make a difference, and contribute to the product or experience that the end customer sees, which gives pride and satisfaction. Some roles give plenty of scope to get very hands-on with JLR and competitor vehicles; great if you're into cars Training is pretty much on free-vend (as long as you give reasonable justification), which allows for incredible development both related to your role and also with wider skills. Much of the training is affiliated with universities too, so it can be converted into recognised qualifications. Good career prospects, loads of new positions pop up regularly, and candidates do seem to be judged on performance. There is a dedicated career/personal development programme, with regular reviews with your appointed representative.

Cons

High workload (but if you're passionate about your job, it's not too arduous). Some people are still in the old 1980's British motor company negative mindset, and complain more than they contribute, but these people are increasingly being drowned out by staff with positive attitudes. Though the company has incredible ambitions, the pay isn't up there with the world's top companies. Some systems (IT, processes etc) are a bit behind, but efforts are being made to bring it all up to date. The usual growing pains, such as parking capacity shortages, desk shortages (new "work smart" scheme being introduced), local work traffic, and urgent need to recruit more resource in some areas.
