Pros
The review is for JLR's Budapest office.
Good pay, good benefits. I liked the health insurance benefit, even though I didn't happen to need it much. Office is not bad, there's free coffee that's actually good. They give you decent IT devices for your use, though the devices in the office (dockers, meeting room equipment) could be better maintained. If you work in automotive and are fed up with German companies, JLR can give you a somewhat different experience. The company is rather woke, which for me is neither pro/con, but it comes with lots of events in the name of international culture, diversity-inclusion, etc. These often come with a free breakfast or something... Though I know for some people it's a bit much. There's a high ratio of non-Hungarian workers, English is the default language, and generally most people are young.
Cons
Poor career advancement prospects. Way too much company newsletter spam. Since everyone is young, there's some feeling of 'blind leading the blind' effect. Communicating with people in other locations tends to be difficult, sometimes you can't make progress cause the person you need just ghosts you. They seem to transform and reimagine processes and workflows faster than people can learn them, leading to confusion.
