Pros

Jabil is a very fast paced environment which is very ideal for those who are full of excitement to start their career journey. Many of the processes in Jabil are well defined and matured in most cases. In addition, the colleagues in Jabil are very warm and are often willing to impart their knowledge to others. Knowledge sharing is encouraged with some teams making that a mandatory KPI. Jabilians work hard and play hard. Stamina and passion are necessity to make your employment a good one. Apart of that, Jabil does offer some pretty sweet employee benefits.

Cons

With the uncertainty of the recent economy and the constant cost cutting measures, IT is often viewed as the non-profitable team, and therefore, is always the first to take the hit. "Retrenchment", "Redundancy", "Organisation Restructure" are terms which one must get used to especially in IT. Every few months, things will change. The only thing constant in Jabil is change. With each change, some people will go. The ones usually being targeted are middle/senior level employees. Their positions may be cut, or the management will replace them with freshers or interns to bring the cost down. However, this causes some period of knowledge gaps. This is a cycle that one must be prepared for and be learn to get used to especially joining teams under the CIO. If you have huge commitments and can't afford to be burdened by the uncertainty of whether you still have a job tomorrow, best to look elsewhere or other departments within Jabil. In this era, there's also another problem with Indian nationals being a member of the senior leadership team, the number of Indians in the team grow exponentially. This resulted in promotions were no longer based on capabilities/merits, instead the promotions were prioritised for the members of the "brotherhood". This has been a running problem (in IT), so if you're looking for career growth, make sure to join the right team and manager.
