Job security. Once you are in, you are in for life! We are a diverse company which should mean we continue to be profitable even in economic downtimes. The social side is good, people very friendly with a good atmosphere. This comes from the staff rather than the managers.

Cons

Crazy promotions! Some people are promoted far beyond their abilities while others are held back. There are too many managers - some are excellent, some are very weak. We rely heavily on contactors. The hours can be long, and rewards are few. Company structure is extremely complicated. Budget for training is small.

I love hearing all the time be gald you have a job. The pay structure is a joke for non management.I have been here for 4 years and they have had 79 new vice presidents of different dept. I have all the emails. The people in my dept. non have been promoted then again I not holding my breath.

Stressed majorly on Leadership and Management skills, less on execution. Depends on consultant to do even critical core compentency work. As a result very top heavy organization which depends on contractor to do the work.
