Pros

Great mission that you can get behind and they truly believe in Great benefits Many very smart and kind colleagues

Cons

Senior leadership in marketing who has been there over 20 years have created a fiefdom. Some are finally leaving so it may change, but it was painful to come in with over 20 years marketing experience and be condescended to and treated as if only KP experience matters. I am in my 50's and oversaw a team of 30+. When my VP was out of town for some time, the VP covering for her actually said to me, "I will be here if you need anything while your mom is gone." My mom?? Even a 20 year old would find that offensive in a professional environment. I could go on an on but I won't. I left a few years ago but waiting until m PTSD passed to share this. After working in several other healthier organizations (not perfect, but much healthier), I realized I not only was not thriving at Kaiser, I was wilting. They give a lot of lip service to a culture that supports growth and respect, but I never felt so disrespected, uninspired , overworked at any other job. I worked 60+ hours a week consistently in order to keep up.

Pros

Most people who worked there were trying to do good, gave a lot to the company. Used to be a fun place to work and staff was recognized for the good work when appropriate. Changed about 5 years ago.

Cons

Now they take the staff for granted and set up the review process in a manner so that it does not allow high performing teams to perform at a high level. Mangers were made to review staff down as a cost savings method, as bonuses were tied to reviews. At the same time, upper level management was running the organization into the ground leading to layoffs across the region.
